The Founder & CEO

Danielle Comeau, MBA, MHR, BA (Law)


Danielle is a globally experienced sustainability leader with a special interest in environment, social, governance, and Indigenous equity and partnerships (IESG). As the Founder and CEO of Wesben Global, she works with companies, community leaders, and investors to define and measure the impact of their sustainability objectives and outcomes.

Having worked across the defense, mining, energy, natural resources, and clean technology sectors, Danielle has engaged stakeholders and rightsholders to align objectives from the field to the boardroom, taking a ‘boots on the ground’ and ‘bottom up’ approach to get at the heart of sustainability risks, opportunities, and investments. Her project experience spans Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Northern Canada, US, South America, and the Caribbean. She has completed 2 expatriate assignments to Afghanistan and Africa, an international trade mission to Ecuador, and was awarded the Commander’s Coin for her civilian service to the ISAF Joint Task Force in Kandahar – an experience that sparked her global career interest.

Danielle serves as the sustainability lead on the board at CASIEF, a Canadian-led health education charity, and is a past member of the board at the Discovery Centre, Atlantic Canada’s leading science center. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Law and Political Science from Carleton University, an Executive Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) from York University, and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the Sobeys School of Business at Saint Mary’s University, where she studied mining metrics: financial implications of non-financial risk

Tom Ormsby, APR


Tom Ormsby is a recognized leader in public relations, stakeholder management, and crisis communications. With 35 years of experience in the mining, media, defense + government, and public service sectors, Tom is the visionary behind TOpr, an Atlantic Canadian public relations firm, and acts as a preferred partner and strategic advisor to Wesben Global clients.

Tom has held management roles in family-run businesses, and executive roles in global corporations. He has served as a national spokesperson and is an internationally awarded senior executive in corporate communication and crisis management, with 3 international, five national, and three regional awards.

Tom brings exceptional depth and breadth of expertise from the shop floor to the boardroom working in union and non-union environments, and as the former head of external and corporate affairs for the DeBeers Group of Companies, Tom led multi-lateral stakeholder relations in complex work environments for the mining sector in Canada.

He is a Past Chair of the Mining Association of Canada’s Public Affairs Committee and is currently the Presiding Officer for the Canadian Public Relations Society’s National Council on Accreditation.

Brenda Lettsome-Tye, M.Ed.

With a passion for elevating people and businesses to their highest potential, Brenda Lettsome-Tye brings 35 years of experience in education and management, specializing in organizational change, strategic planning, training & education, and policy development. Hailing from Tortola, British Virgin Islands, with close ties to Canada, she is the visionary behind Higher Elevation, and a senior advisor to Wesben Global clients on their journey to elevate impact.

Brenda has served as an educator and senior manager for the Government of the Virgin Islands for 35 years. During this time, she managed organizational change, guided policy development, and developed positive youth programming. Throughout her career, Brenda has been recognized for developing impactful strategies and implementing innovative solutions that result in growth and efficiency. Her expertise lies in understanding unique business challenges and tailoring services that meet the specific needs of her clients.

She holds a Bachelor of Education from Mount Allison University and a Master of Education from the University of Victoria, with Diplomas in Change Management and Policy Development from Alison and EdEx respectively.

As a visionary leader, Brenda is dedicated to fostering collaborative environments where ideas can flourish, and businesses can thrive. She believes in the power of building strong relationships and leveraging collective skills and experiences to achieve remarkable results. When she’s not immersed in her work, Brenda enjoys reading, singing, traveling, and quality time with family and friends, which contribute to her well-rounded perspective on life and business.

Joanne Bath, BSW

Hailing from small-town Newfoundland, Joanne values community, connection, and genuine relationships—principles that have been the cornerstone of her rewarding career. Joanne is an experienced, strategic, and collaborative leader with 22 years of philanthropic leadership experience. Her leadership style is people-first, fostering trust, empowering ownership, and promoting entrepreneurial thinking. Throughout her career, she has facilitated strategic partnerships by understanding stakeholder needs and has raised more than $90 million for social change initiatives.

Her extensive experience in the philanthropic, health, and health research fields has been instrumental to the success of major organizations, including the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) and the IWK Foundation. Joanne has built and led high-performing teams, raising millions of dollars through entrepreneurial thinking, meticulous vision, fundraising acumen, and thoughtful leadership. She has played a critical role in linking donors with donees and fostering collaborations with partner organizations that share a common vision. Her ability to cultivate and sustain these relationships has been vital to advancing transformative health research. An active community member, Joanne has served on several volunteer boards, including Hospice Halifax and Pier Labs, and is also an investor in Sandpiper Venture, promoting women in venture capital.

Joanne holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Memorial University of Newfoundland and has certifications in both fundraising and leadership. Her firm, LUME Leadership, is focused on – Donor-advising – Recruitment, talent development & retention – Charitable strategic advisory.

Roger Mader

On a mission to help organizations live their purpose, Roger Mader helps big companies act small and small companies get big. He is the author of “Purposeful Enterprise: Design Your Organization to Change the World.” Roger explores the transformative impact on organizations, customers, and communities when organizations seek to serve more than the profit motive. He is the visionary behind Ampersand V.C., co-founder of Myra Media, and is a senior advisor to Wesben Global and our clients on their journey to achieve the triple bottom line.

Roger teaches business and strategic innovation at Dalhousie University’s Corporate Residency MBA program and at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. He is a coach in the Dal Innovates program, chaired Design Thinking for Rutgers University executive education, and his program on Design Thinking is certified by Illinois Tech.

In his role as a senior advisor to Wesben Global, Roger helps to guide vision, strategy, and planning that enables client and company growth to maximize sustainable impact. He hosts a series of lessons on Ampersand’s Youtube channel.

Roger raised his sons Cole and Everett in Manhattan. He continues to serve clients globally while residing in their legacy home in Mader’s Cove, Nova Scotia to build new memories among the islands of Mahone Bay.
