Environment Social and Governance Risk
ESG is now at the centre of operational excellence and stakeholder interest.
Increasing public pressures on government and businesses alike are driving the need for organizations to adopt proactive ESG measures and ensure accountability to mitigate ESG risk, doing their part to secure a sustainable future for the next generation.
Organizations can realize considerable financial and non-financial returns by incorporating ESG risk into their strategic planning process. Enhanced regulatory controls, along with political, social, and environmental mandates are increasingly demanding an effective ESG strategy.
While the war on climate is most certainly at the front and centre of the ESG conversation, the scope of ESG spans much wider to include broader community impacts, resource nationalism, regulatory controls, equal access to health, wellness, and financial means, respect for culture and heritage, and the importance of diversity, inclusion, equity, and access – secured through an effective governance structure and reporting process.
Wesben Global assists our clients on ESG matters, supporting them to engage with communities and stakeholders in complex regulatory and policy settings. Our approach to ESG is centred on the critical role of understanding stakeholder impacts, and the associated benefits of a strongly executed engagement plan.

Client Case Study:
Our client, a public sector service organization, was implementing a transformative, multi-year strategic plan affecting all business functions across multiple locations. Strategic priorities outlined numerous interdependent deliverables, requiring a high level of integration across the organization, and an improved reporting function to enable timely access to information regarding situations or external priorities impacting the regulated industry.
Wesben Global undertook a multi-disciplinary ESG lens, partnering with senior business leaders across the organization to advise on industry outreach, including key messages for leader-led communications, while supporting the client to explore internally and externally focused ESG programs. Advisory services assisted the client, through extensive consultation efforts, to identify ESG related risk, and refine internal governance for enhanced ESG reporting across multi-level stakeholder groups.
